Four matchdays into the season and Borussia M’gladbach is ranked one place lower than in the 16/17 season on tenth position. A strong comeback from two Leipzig leads to get a point from the 2-2 draw to RB was preceded by a weak performance and a loss to Franfurt at home and a late equalizer in Augsburg against the Foals (2-2).
