After several great wins, the Foals train came to a stand-still, losing 1-2 to Hamburg and 0-1 at home to top-of-the-league Bayern Munich. In between more disappointment, as Borussia crashed out of the Europa League against Schalke. A 2-2 draw at home saw Gladbach being eliminated on away goals after the 1-1 at Schalke. Two more victories in the bag for Dieter Hecking as the Foals beat Freiburg 3-0 in the Bundesliga only to advance to the quarter-finals of the DFB-Pokal with a 2-0 win over Greuther Fürth. The next round will be played at Hamburg on March 1st, but before that it’s Werder Bremen away, AC Fiorentina in the Europa League and a cracking home match on Sunday against RB Leipzig.
