075 Bear the unbearable

1-2 v Mainz, 0-2 v City and 2-3 v Leipzig – Manuel and Alexis try to make sense of the downward spiral that set off (or accelerated) after Rose’s announced departure in the Summer: attacking football is dead and the team is still conceding goals. In the centre of attention: the coach. Manuel also goes on a rant about tactical v individual coaching and why Rose is therefore to blame for the meek performances while Alexis quotes the Japanese emperor’s radio address to his people at the end of WWII…
Our legendary goal of the week come from mullet-sporting extraordinaire Frank Schulz, 1991 vs Bayer during an emphatic 5-2 away victory. No video available; here’s the Sportschau ‘Goal of the Month’ link:

074 Eberl da boss!

Well, it happened. Marco Rose decided to move to Borussia Dortmund after the season. Much rumors went around social media about whether to sack him right from the spot now, about reactions from the team aso until finally Max Eberl put his foot down on Wednesday in a remarkable press conference.

Eberl is da boss! Hands down!

Legendary goals today are coming from Branimir Hrgota (don’t forget about him!)

065 Oh REALly?

What can we say. Up and down against Mainz with the good result on our side, whereas the draw against Real feels like loss, doesn’t it? Manuel and Alexis discuss the past week and give a quick outlook of what’s ahead.

And here are the links to this week’s legendary goals:

025 2016/wk05 - Another friday night match

After now two defeats – a strange deja-vu is settling in – the Foals now face Werder Bremen in another Friday night Bundesliga clash at Borussia-Park. Both the match in Bremen as well as the DFB-Cup tie in December went the way of Viktor Skripnik’s squad, while Borussia hasn’t scored in any Friday night match since 2013. Given the poor skills in front of goal in Mainz, AndrĂ© Schubert will have to make sure Borussia is finding their way back into the competition to secure the first points in 2016! Manuel takes you through the Mainz game, the transfer deadline activities and the upcoming Werder-match.

024 2016/wk04 - No luck for the foals

No luck for the foals as Dortmund beat Gladbach for the second time this season, after the 4-0 on the first matchday now a convincing 3-1 for Thomas Tuchel’s side. Still, Borussia remains on 4th place, securing Champions-League play-offs. This week André Schubert’s team is travelling to Mainz for the Friday night game at Coface Arena, where the Foals are unbeaten in four matches. Manuel takes you through the Dortmund game and previews the upcoming Mainz-fixture.

013 2015/wk35 - Groups we have

This week’s show is all about the CL group stage draw, and Borussia was again unlucky, being drawn into Group D, facing Manchester City, Italian champions Juventus Turin and reigning Europa League winners Sevilla FC, who had eliminated Borussia in last season’s KO-round clash on their way to clutching the title.

Aftwards, Manu briefly talks about the second loss of the season, the disappointing 1-2 at home to Mainz, before previewing the match against Werder.

At the end, the newest member of the vollraute-podcast family, the French language “Parlez vous Borussia”, is introduced!

Thank you Ibra Traoré :-)
